It’s a bop, I feel like it’s too techno for the art but still a bop!
Thanks for the feedback!
I feel like this song does fit the vibe of the art representing a game but not the scene. It sounds good regardless
It does a good job at feeling the art and the song, maybe a bit basic, does it job well.
It’s interesting, the harmony feels very bad and the dissonance is too much.
This feels like the cutscene where you like either see the fish or like visual novel ah talking to the fish. It gives a good sense of unease like the fish and repetition when used right (like this instance) can make it feel illusional. Good job
Thank you :)
I like your composition, keep this up and you’ll be scouted in no time!
This kinda misses the mechanic part of the art. The brass overpowers certain melodic lines and the lyrics have been cranked through the grinder and sounds awful. The song also feels more like a space thing but that’s just me.
Thanks for taking the time to comment.
It's a stylistic choice, but I understand that we clearly don't have the same vision, which remains legitimate. This isn't 1984, after all.
Musical creation being subjective, it's normal to have our own different opinions and different musical tastes. Some will prefer Chopin and hate Cannibal Corpse, others will love Snoop Dog and be displeased by Penderecki.
Now, I do like it, I just feel like that it’s more of a gamey vibe which it does work but feels like it’s music for a game and not for art. It’s uneasily fitting in which hurts it in my opinion, however it’s just my opinion. It regardless sounds good so 👍
Now the song is goodish, the main problem is the amount of repetition is unpleasant, but the melody and instrumentation was done well. However, my biggest pet peeve about this is the fact that I’d have to say the art and the music don’t feel matched. The art is more of a glitched space and I can’t judge much on art as I’m no artist, however the music haves a more threatening feel like something bad is about to happen which isn’t the vibe being sent off by the piece of art.
I understand everything here, especially the repetition gripe. However, this is the way I interpreted the art. It’s what I felt when I looked at it so I took that direction when I was making it. Either way, I appreciate you being honest with your feedback, and thank you for listening :3
I am a composer/violist who loves music. I’d gladly help make music for projects, and just ask to use any of my already music.
